Transcendental Meditation has been an essential part of my life for the past ten years. It’s provided me with a steady source of clarity, growth, and inner peace. Like many who have learned TM, I’m always searching for ways to deepen my practice and evolve my practice

As luck would have it, my 10th anniversary of learning TM coincided with the release of the TM app — a resource designed to support and enrich your TM practice. To mark this milestone, I decided to incorporate the TM App into my daily routine, and it’s quickly becoming a valuable tool in my journey.

Here are three impactful ways the TM App has added understanding and consistency to my practice.

A content library to deepen my understanding of TM

One of the standout features of the TM App is its comprehensive library. Whether you’re interested in expanding your knowledge of consciousness, creativity, peak performance, or health and science, the library has something for everyone. It also has a library of Podcasts, meditator stories, and calming melodies to explore.

I found myself particularly drawn to the ability to revisit and save my favourite videos, such as Maharishi’s historic talk at Lake Louise titled “Being is Bliss.”

The TM app also includes a series on how to maximize the benefits with refreshers on the fundamentals of TM practice. If you’re like me, and it’s been a long time since you took your initial TM course, this is a great way to remind yourself of the fundamentals.

Tools to keep my meditation on track

Tracking progress in the TM App is a motivating feature that logs all meditation sessions. Seeing streaks of unbroken meditation days can be incredibly encouraging, providing a sense of accomplishment and reinforcing the commitment to regular practice.

Another unique feature is the timer, which allows you to see how many people are meditating at the same time as you. Participating in global coherence, and experiencing the positive influence of group meditations has always been my favourite way of being connected with the TM Community.

The TM app offers personal reminders, a feature especially useful for those with busy schedules. I usually never miss my morning meditation, but as a working mom and wife, it is often difficult to stay regular with my evening meditation. On days when I’m juggling a lot, that reminder is exactly what I need to make time for my practice, and I love that I can rely on the TM App for keeping me on track and helping me stay consistent.

One of the standout features of the TM app is the official TM timer. The timer includes a thoughtful feature: a brief three-minute period for coming out slowly at the end of the meditation. It’s a small detail that makes a significant difference.

Staying connected with global events

In addition to tracking personal progress, the TM App keeps you informed about upcoming events, such as group meditations and special workshops. These events provide opportunities to connect with the broader TM community, reinforcing that sense of belonging and shared growth. Whether it’s participating in a group meditation session with Bob Roth, or attending Maharishi Yoga Asanas demonstrations live, these events keep your practice dynamic and evolving. The TM App serves as a gateway to these enriching experiences, allowing you to seamlessly integrate them into your journey.

The TM App is more than just a digital tool — it’s a companion on this journey of personal growth and inner peace. It’s an essential tool for any TM practitioner looking to maximize their practice. It’s a guide, a motivator, and sometimes, just the push you need to keep going. Whether you’re a newcomer to TM or someone with a decade under your belt like me, the TM App is there to help you get the most out of your practice
