DESCRIPTION:Guru Purnima is known as the day of the Guru – a teacher of total knowledge. So\, once a year on the full moon of July we celebrate and honour our teachers.  \nCome join us for a celebration at our retreat centre World Peace House\, on Salt Spring Island! The celebration will include the ceremony of gratitude\, cake\, and a video of Maharishi talking about his own teacher\, Guru Dev. \nThere will be a TM Retreat for Sidhas happening at the house and they will be joining the celebration. DESCRIPTION:According to Vedic knowledge\, each day dawns with a different quality of Nature’s Intelligence. On the auspicious day of Guru Purnima\, the first full moon after the Summer Solstice\, a specific quality of Natural Law is most awake and enlivened. \nGuru Purnima is known as the day of the Guru – a teacher of total knowledge. So\, once a year on the full moon of July we celebrate and honour our teachers.  \nMaharishi always referred back to his teacher Guru Dev who revived the knowledge of living fullness of life. This fullness of life comes from accessing the innermost Self. Guru Dev’s teaching was to attain knowledge of the Self through direct experience\, offering Transcendental Meditation as the technique for achieving that direct experience. \nJoin us on Thursday\, July 10\, from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM to celebrate this special occasion of Guru Purnima. \nThis special event will include: \n\nThe ceremony of gratitude (flowers will be provided\, but we encourage you to bring one or two flowers of your own)\n20-minute Group TM\nA recording of Maharishi speaking about Guru Dev\nCake and Tea\n\nWe look forward to celebrating this special day with you!
