The story behind one of North America\u2019s First Ayurvedic Health Facilities<\/p>\n

In 1990, Ayurveda was virtually unknown in North America. That year, Candace Badgett and her husband, Rogers, embarked on an ambitious project: create a 36,000 sq ft Ayurvedic health facility in Fairfield, Iowa, known as The Raj.<\/p>\n

With slides and stories, Candace will share the challenges and triumphs of bringing their vision to life. She\u2019ll recount the journey of conceiving the idea for The Raj with Maharishi, then planning, designing, financing, and constructing this trailblazing health facility. It\u2019s a story of making the impossible possible.<\/p>\n

Today, Ayurveda is widely recognized, but The Raj pioneered the use of Ayur-Vedic medicine in North America. Candace and Rogers are now respected international consultants in field of Maharishi Ayur-Veda.<\/p>\n

Aside from running The Raj, Candace is also an International Director of the women\u2019s wing of the Transcendental Meditation organization, Global Mother Divine Organization, with specific oversight in the US, Canada and Australia. In this capacity, she also provides advanced programs for women practitioners of Transcendental Meditation and the TM-Sidhis program, In addition. Candace speaks around the world on Ayur-Veda, Vedic Science, higher states of consciousness, and women\u2019s health, fulfillment, and empowerment.<\/p>\n
