Veda and Vedic Sounds are the Inner Reality of Your Life
mardi, 9 décembre à 2h00 - 3h30 EST
With TM Teacher John Cowhig and Special Guest Dr. Keith Wegman
The Veda and Vedic literature are the sounds or vibratory impulses of the universal field of consciousness that can be experienced deep within everyone, at the most settled level of our minds.
Reading the Vedic literature in sequence effortlessly trains the brain and the whole physiology of speech to function in the most orderly way, so that every thought, speech, and action enjoys the full support of nature — the intelligence that upholds order and evolution in the entire universe.
In this context, Dr. Wegman will introduce us to the Sanskrit language — the language of Nature — and show us the value of reading and listening to the Vedic literature in Sanskrit: a technique in itself to develop higher states of consciousness.
The perfect orderliness of the Vedic language, Maharishi explains, “creates orderliness and balance in the brain, expands memory, and purifies the body. When one recites the Vedic language, the brain functions from more silent levels, bringing peace and harmony to the mind and awakening deeper levels of consciousness.”
Dr. Wegman received his Ph.D. in Maharishi Vedic Science in 2004 and his MA in Science of Creative Intelligence in 1993, both from Maharishi International University (MIU). He obtained a BA in Philosophy/Art from St. Olaf College in 1991. He has taught numerous undergraduate and graduate-level courses in Sanskrit and Maharishi Vedic Science and has researched and lectured in these subjects around the world for the last 25 years.
Dr. Wegman is the Director of the Masters program in Consciousness and Human Potential at MIU, and the Director of TM instruction at the Raj Ayurveda Health Spa in Fairfield, Iowa, where he lives with his wife Sankari and their two children Jayanta and Uma.
Begins with a 20-minute group TM.
