DESCRIPTION:With TM Teacher Andy Guest. \nIn enlightenment\, how can the nervous system maintain the experience of unbounded\, non-changing inner Being even as the body is involved in focused activity or immersed in the inertia of deep sleep? \nIn this presentation\, Fred Travis\, Ph.D.\, looks at brain networks during the Transcendental Meditation technique\, as well as during sleeping and waking. He examines how these networks can be integrated through TM practice\, providing scientific support for Maharishi’s statement in his commentary on the Bhagavad Gita: “The gradual and systematic culture of the physical nervous system creates a physiological situation in which the two states of consciousness exist together simultaneously.” \nBegins with a 20-minute group TM. \nJoin Session \nPassword required to join this session.
