DESCRIPTION:With TM Teacher John Cowhig and Special Guest Natalie Miller \nNatalie Miller\, VSIE Principal\, will show us how\, for over 25 years\, Consciousness-Based Education has created a truly exceptional learning environment for grades 1 to 8 — with few of the problems challenging most Canadian schools. \nWhat started as a modest basement school with 11 students has blossomed into a thriving community of 80\, with plans to soon establish a high school. \nWhat Sets This School Apart? \n\nVSIE students develop an integrated vision of life through the practice of Transcendental Meditation and the study of the Science of Creative Intelligence — the laws of nature that structure growth and progress in all of nature\, including human life.\nStudents enjoy a rich nature education program with daily outdoor experiences\, visiting local forests\, mountains\, and beaches. They learn about ecosystems\, native plants\, and how to restore lost habitat.\nVSIE has small class sizes to ensure every student gets individualized attention.
