SUMMARY:Body Awareness: How to Handle Negative Emotions
DESCRIPTION:With TM Teacher John Cowhig.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nNegative emotions\, such as fear\, anger\, hatred\, jealousy\, depression\, and so on hurt our lives and hinder our progress. \nIn an enlightening audio tape from the Paradise Tahoe Course in 1968\, Maharishi gives us a profound insight: even though negative emotions — he uses the example of fear — seem to come from the mind\, the mind is closely linked to the nervous system. Somewhere in the body\, something starts to function abnormally\, and this triggers corresponding disruptions in the mind. \nMoods are hardware and software working in concert: fear\, for example\, is a negative sensation and a negative thought woven together. \nIn this tape\, Maharishi gives us a simple strategy: direct attention to the physical sensations associated with the negative emotion and you will bring more life energy to that part of the body.
