With TM Teacher John Cowhig, hosted by Blair Butterfield.

John Cowhig’s March 16th talk about his years with Maharishi was very popular, with many requests for more. Accordingly, on April 27th, John will delve more deeply into his time with Maharishi.

About the Speaker

John began his lifelong adventure with TM in Vancouver, Canada, in 1967, and was made a TM teacher by Maharishi in his ashram on the banks of the Ganges River in Rishikesh, India. From 1974 to 1977, he served as Maharishi’s personal secretary and worked with him everywhere he went. After 1977, he represented Maharishi and the TM movement in countless different roles, visiting over 100 countries.

Recently, John contributed to the team editing Dr. Tony Nader’s groundbreaking book Consciousness Is All There Is and wrote the first draft of the glossary.

Upcoming Presentation

In the April 27th talk, John will share stories about specific projects with Maharishi, including the extraordinary 1974 campaign in Nepal, where Maharishi taught TM to over 30,000 people in 11 days. These stories will give us a unique insight into Maharishi’s cheerful and dynamic personality and how he accomplished so much.

The meeting will be hosted by Blair Butterfield, co-director of the Jackson Hole TM Center, who was a founding member and former director of Maharishi’s Purusha Program. He has participated in many high profile TM projects in the United States, Bermuda, Europe, Africa and India. After that Blair spent over thirty years in senior executive and board level roles in the healthcare information technology industry. He also recently co-hosted with John the Canadian book club on Dr. Nader’s aforementioned book.

Don’t miss this opportunity to hear stories and reflections about the founder of TM through the eyes of those around him.

The talk will be followed by a lively Q&A.
