With TM Teacher John Cowhig and Special Guest Harris Kaplan

The Raja (Global Leader) of the TM Organization in India

Harris Kaplan, a native of Westmount, near Montréal (and cousin to Leonard Cohen), has led a life of dedicated service. He and his wife, Arlene, served as directors of the Montréal TM Centre and were pioneering figures at Canada’s first in-residence TM facility, Académie Château Lac-Beauport. After teaching TM full-time, Harris transitioned to the financial sector, where he had a successful career as a fund manager.

Over those years, he remained in tune with the activities of the global TM organization. But over the years, Harris and Arlene had travelled to India for ayurvedic treatments and had developed a deep appreciation for the Vedic Pandits and a keen interest in their well-being.
Raja Role and the Brahmananda Saraswati Trust

When Harris retired from finance, he was trained as a Raja (Global Leader), initially serving as Raja of Canada. Soon, Maharishi had him focus solely on India.

As Raja of India, he was at the centre of Maharishi’s final and paramount initiative: the establishment of the Brahmananda Saraswati Trust (Brahmananda Saraswati Foundation in Canada: BSF). As CEO, Raja Harris leads the Trust’s mission: to fund large, permanent groups of Maharishi Vedic Pandits whose collective practices and powerful yagyas, such as the daily Atirudrabhishek, are dedicated to creating invincibility and world peace.

To this end, Raja Harris established and directs the international course facility at the Brahmasthan (geographical centre) of India. This first-class center, home to the largest group of Maharishi Vedic Pandits, welcomes guests from around the world.

We invite you to join us on Tuesday, March 24, to learn about the history of this global initiative to create world peace through the practices of Vedic Pandits in India.

Begins with a 20-minute group TM.
