Winter is a challenging season for many Canadians — with its cold weather, short days, and longer nights. Ayurveda describes how winter may upset physiological balance by significantly increasing the Vata dosha in the body and mind. Increased Vata can create dry skin, irregular digestion, cold feet and hands, occasional insomnia, and worry. These symptoms are signs that our Vata dosha needs a little nurturing.
