In this live online session, filmmaker and Transcendental Meditation Teacher Ashia Fredeen will talk about the profound connection between creativity and consciousness. Within everyone, beyond the most subtle level of thought, there is a field of infinite energy, creativity and intelligence. This field is the source of our thoughts, our creativity, as well as the source of all matter.

During the practice of Transcendental Meditation, the mind settles down effortlessly to this state of pure, silent bliss within us, and very naturally, we start to enjoy more happiness, vitality, and creativity in our life. This is fundamental to an artist.

During this session, Ashia will talk about her own personal experience of inner transformation from “Art lover” to “Artist” that came as a result of her practice of Transcendental Meditation.
Ashia spent endless hours of her youth in creative pursuits, including dance, music, drawing, and acting, but it was her TM practice that had a profound effect on her relationship with creativity. She’ll share a conversation she had with filmmaker David Lynch during her time as a film student, dive deep into the creative process, and explain how TM is the best tool to unlock your own creativity.

Because the session is designed for non-meditators, it will not include a 20-minute group TM.
