Dr. Richard Beall — Head of School Emeritus of Maharishi School in Fairfield, IA, United States

Dr. Richard Beall has had a distinguished 40+ year career in education. In 1981 he and his wife Andrea helped establish Maharishi School in Fairfield, Iowa, the first complete Preschool-Grade 12 system of Consciousness-Based Education (CBE) in the world. He has served as administrative director, teacher, coach, and principal, and Head of School for the past 17 years.

Dr. Beall earned a Masters Degree in Educational Administration and his Doctorate in Curriculum Development in 1996 at Maharishi International University. His dissertation was selected as the university’s most outstanding of the year.
In 2003 Dr. Beall founded Carolina International School, an award-winning public charter school near Charlotte, North Carolina. After guiding the school for four years, he returned to Maharishi School in 2008 when he was appointed Head of School. In the past 17 years Dr. Beall restored the school’s boarding program and oversaw significant changes to the school culture and functioning. He is passionate about the field of education, with special interests in individual learning differences, global education, and the holistic effects of developing consciousness.

Natalie Miller, BED — School Principal at Victoria School for Ideal Education in Victoria, BC, Canada

Natalie Miller is the Principal of Victoria School for Ideal Education in Victoria, BC, Canada. As well, she is a proud board member of the Maharishi Age of Enlightenment Society which includes the school, the out of school care and as the plan unfolds will also include a high school. She is an impassioned teacher, who fell in love with the Science of Creative Intelligence, which she studied in the classroom over a decade ago.. As a teacher and parent, she appreciates all that CBE offers to the community and her family. Prior to becoming Principal, and teaching at Victoria School for Ideal Education, Natalie worked in several private schools, school districts, and daycares, nurturing and learning from students of all ages. With all of this experience, she developed high academic standards grounded in compassion and flexibility. She is able to understand each student’s unique needs and assist them to flourish and grow. In her enjoyment of teaching Natalie leans on nature for its fundamental blueprint of knowledge, “I believe real life samples and examples are the best teaching tools”. For this approach, she appreciates the amount of nature and outdoor education embedded in the curriculum at Victoria School for Ideal Education.

Frances Clarke, BEc (Hons), DipEd — Principal Emeritus of Maharishi School in Reservoir, Victoria, Australia.

Frances Clarke was a pioneering founder and long-serving principal of the Maharishi School in Victoria, Australia, where she established a curriculum focused on Consciousness-Based Education (CBE), including the practice of Transcendental Meditation (TM) and the Science of Creative Intelligence, integrated with the standard Victorian curriculum. She has been recognized for fostering a calm, stress-free learning environment. Following her retirement in 2015 the school established the Frances Clarke Scholarship, which is available for children whose parents practice TM.

More recently, Frances has worked internationally providing CBE professional development to teachers and online courses for schools and universities around the world. Frances is also developing and guiding the TM Teacher Training Course for teachers (ST-TTC) in schools where TM has been introduced. In January 2026 the second course graduated 32 TM teachers for schools in India.
