Creating Coherence Meeting
Tue, February 10 @ 2:00 pm - 2:30 pm EST
With a TM Teacher John Cowhig and Special Guest Dr. Paul Potter.
Nestled in the serene Dutch countryside, the MERU campus serves as the global hub of the Transcendental Meditation (TM) organization. Join us as Dr. Paul Potter, the Raja (leader) of the Canadian TM organization, guides us through the facilities and shares insights into this vibrant centre for Consciousness Studies.
The Story of MERU
Founded in April 1975 by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi in Switzerland, MERU was established to promote research into Consciousness as a field of all possibilities. In 1984, MERU expanded to its current campus in a national forest near Vlodrop, Netherlands. It was here Maharishi spent the last 18 years of his life.
For over four decades, MERU Vlodrop has grown into a multifaceted cornerstone of the international Transcendental Meditation organization. Not only does it act as the global administrative headquarters, it also hosts many courses, retreats, and celebrations for the worldwide TM community. Recent construction has added several new buildings to accommodate administration, courses, and housing for the over 100 residents.
Dr. Paul Potter, who oversees Canada, Turkey, and several other countries, has an inspiring background. Raised in Mystic, Connecticut, and Paris, France, he is fluent in French. He is also an artist, poet, and musician, having graduated from the prestigious Rhode Island School of Design.
In the mid-1970s, he joined Maharishi’s international staff and worked closely with him for 25 years. Dr. Potter, who still lives at MERU, will also share his delightful experience overseeing the design and construction of the Maharishi Peace Park on the campus.
Please join us for a visit to the International Headquarters of the global TM organization.
The session will begin with a 20-minute group meditation starting at 2:00 PM ET / 11:00 AM PT
